CAMERONFROMPATH 450pxCameron Hall, the testosterone centre of the campus with its long corridors, turrets and occasional peace. Some of the rooms had balconies and the ground floor rooms provided an easy escape when the corridors were too narrow to negotiate.

It was opened in 1970 as a men's hall of residence (at the same time as Athlone) and became a mixed hall in 1987

At the back the grounds swept away down the slope into the woodland (and Cameron was soon headed that way as well) where badgers and other wildlife roamed. The Cameron bar was a second social hub and its dining room (which was very rarely used for dining) hosted many of the concerts and other musical events.CameronfromAthlone 450px

In 1989 the ground floor common room of Cameron became a ‘pub’ (though had always had a licenced bar) and the upper floor (designed as a dining room but rarely used for that) became Medicine (a new Social Club with bar)

Demolished in 2006 apart from the Cameron Bar and the dining hall which were retained and are now Stumble Inn and Medicine which were retained and now managed by the SU.
